Matilda – Drama Workshop

On November 7th and 8th the VDS Drama Workshop staged the play MATILDA, based on both the 1997 film and the London/Broadway musical. (Ver más fotos)

Most of our 47 young actors were pupils from 4th to 7th forms, but there were also 2 girls from secondary school, who have been on stage for 5 years now and as they say, “We are planning to go on as we love Drama.”

Rehearsals were long and hard for there were many lines to learn, 17 scenes to put on and 11 songs and choreographies to practise, but the outcome made up for all that effort.

Though some performances were outstanding, it was easy to see that the whole company did their best and enjoyed what they were doing. In addition they were delighted to act for a large audience.
