Form VII – Some reviews about the Teatro Colón outing

Form VII A students wrote about their visit to the Colon Opera House.

“On Tuesday 16th, 7th Form went to the Colon Theatre, and I really enjoyed it! My favourite part was when we sat in the Official Box, because from there you could see the stage perfectly well. I also liked when we went into the Busts Room, because the guide talked about very interesting things about the composers that were shown.”

“I liked all the decorations, the paintings, the dome and the floor. They were all handmade and they were made one by one with extremely high details. I also liked the Golden Room that got brighter when you looked up.”

By Lucas Binello (7th A)

“I liked the ceiling with a lot of colours and drawings. I felt very important. When we went into the auditorium, it was HUGE! The stage was the same size as the auditorium. The ceiling was decorated with a Dome that was very nice. We sat in the Official Box and they were going to rehearse “Pulgarcito”, which is coming up this weekend.”

“I’ve learnt new vocabulary about the theatre. I loved when we sat in the Official Box, which is the place where you have the best view of the stage and some people were rehearsing “Pulgarcito”. I felt extremely important.”

By Mateo Klos (7th A)

“To be honest, the visit to the Colon Theatre was an unforgettable experience, completely bewitching and unique. The amount of detail in every single inch of the theatre was fascinating, and honestly, I enjoyed every minute of the visit. The halls, the rooms, everything was beautiful and shiny, especially the architecture, everything was full of details! I loved the colours: golden, white, sometimes even red, but the best thing was the auditorium. It was gigantic, impeccable and amazing. It felt like travelling in time!”
