What we found more interesting was the Golden Hall where part of the old theatre remained. It has been reformed in 2001.

But what we really liked was the music we heard from the orchestra, which was rehearsing. Another thing that caught my eye was the ceiling of this opera house, it had several pictures of people and an elf that it is said to inspire the artists and musicians.

The glass ceiling in the foyer had 8 muses but in fact there are 9 but people can do music without astronomy. The elegance of the room impressed us the same as the busts of famous composers and musicians including Beethoven and Mozart. Really we liked it a lot.

What we found most interesting was the Golden Room because there you could not tell which was real gold and which were golden painted. It was Spectacular, the chandeliers were fantastica and the whole room was beautifully decorated. There were a few paintings in the ceiling.

We found interesting three things: The Colon Theatre was created in 1908 just as our school. We also found interesting the sculpture called “The Silence” with Venus, the Goddess of love, and Cupid her son. The third thing we found interesting was the Opera House because of the chandelier in the dome and because of the sound of the orchestra that we had the opportunity to hear.

The Colon theatre is one of the most important icons in Argentina. It’s regarded as one of the best theatre in the world. It’s situated on 9 de julio avenue and Viamonte street. The Colon theatre was built in 1908 but it wasn’t  at that time in the present location ;The location was  changed  because they wanted to make it look similar to the ones that exist in big countries. The exterior has an amazing sight and a magnificent facade. It has  pretty steps that lead you inside the theatre and  it is painted beige.

The exterior is pretty but the interior is amazing!! iI has a marble staircase, a  luxurious chandelier and velvet carpets. The auditorium is beautiful. It has six balconies and one hidden balcony for widows beacause in the past widows couldn’t attend public events. It also has an amazing ceiling.

The Colon theatre is a beautiful old building which is worth a visit!!
