Form V – More about Shakespeare

Forms V  “A” and “B” have been working on WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE project.

We put our hands to work in April and we have just finished it. As you can see, we have worked a lot!
First, we dealt with William Shakespeare’s biography. We read about his days as a child, his family and his works. We also watched several videos, followed by class discussions, oral games and written work, both in class and in the IT lab. Then, we worked on The Globe Theatre. We watched very interesting videos and wrote down notes, collecting as much information as we could. When we were talking about the plays that were performed at the Globe Theatre, we felt curious about Shakespeare’s works and wanted to learn more about them. So, we resorted to the British Council webpage and read “Twelfth Night”, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and “Romeo and Juliet”. We found them fascinating! We analysed the stories and the characters. By the end of September, we had learnt so much about Shakespeare, that we were ready to carry out the final task. Our teachers proposed working in groups in the Aula Magna and the school library, in order to have plenty of space to spread the materials and work comfortably.
We enjoyed brainstorming ideas, drawing, summarizing, looking up information in the web, making decisions together and, especially, sharing with friends. We hope you enjoy our work. (Watch children at work)
